Portland Rollin 60s Crip Gang Member Sentenced

Law enforcement in Portland nabbed Portland resident and affiliate of the Rollin’ 60s Crips gang. The gang is based in Los Angeles.  Kneko Tyray Moore, 34, was sentenced to federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. He was sentenced to 77 months in federal prison and three years’ supervised release.

He was given six years and five months for the felon with a gun conviction plus another six months to run after that for violating the conditions of his federal supervision.

When Moore addressed U.S. District Judge Karin J. Immergut: “I showed up to memorialize a fallen friend,” he said. “It’s hard to not show my concern to someone I care about who died.” Judge Immergut issued a sentence that is considered closer to what prosecutors cited as the average national prison term for the crime. It was reported that officers searched Moore’s vehicle and found a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol with a chambered round on the front passenger floorboard.

It all started when Moore and his gang member friends were in a cemetery turning up for their fallen comrade. While memorializing their friend a neighbor complained to the police about the noise coming from cemetery. When the pokice arrived to the cemetery, Moore got in his vehicle and sped away. In his haste, he almost struck a tree and an unmarked police vehicle. He was caught and arrested that night.

Moore was previously convicted of attempted first-degree assault with a firearm and sentenced to seven years and one month in custody. He was barred from associating with gang members or having a gun while on federal supervision for a 2015 gun crime.

Moore has been in custody for over two years. His attorney Matthew Schindler asked the judge to give him time served. Schindler argued that there were no victims in Moore’s latest crime and that Moore hasn’t committed a serious felony since he was 18.
