Delivery Truck Stolen On Christmas Eve

This season saw a real Grinch in Portland. Someone stole a delivery truck from Made in Oregon’s warehouse. The location was in Northeast Portland and on Christmas Eve of all days. The truck is a 20-foot long white 2006 Isuzu.

Someone broke into the locked warehouse after midnight. The company says that the truck is used to deliver Oregon-grown goods, including fruits, meat, wine and other gifts. Made in Oregon has seven stores across the state. The stolen truck pick up merchandise from Oregon food processors and wineries and distribute to their stores.

It was scheduled to deliver Made in Oregon goods to Newport and pick up Myrtle wood carvings on Monday, according to Naito. A driver who works on weekends showed up on Christmas Eve to deliver goods and found the truck was not there.

There is not a report of anything else that was taken. This is not the first time the company has had to deal with issues involving the truck. In the past its battery was taken on two other occasions.

The truck was reported stolen to police on Xmas Eve. The person reporting the truck stole had some issues. First, but he didn’t have the title readily available until a few hours later which has pertinent information for the police in identifyingthevehicle. When the staff person tried to call back, there was a four-hour hold on the Police Bureau’s non-emergency line.
