CNN’s Alayna Treene debunks claims made by JD Vance, a Republican candidate for the Ohio Senate seat, about Governor Tim Walz’s military service. Vance accused Walz of not serving in a combat zone during his military service, but Treene found that Walz was deployed to Iraq in 2005 and served as a combat engineer. Treene also found that Walz was awarded a Bronze Star for his service.
