NW Stance TV Show: Still A Voice Serving Portland

NW Stance is a Friday LIVE Hour Talk program dedicated to the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the stance of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. When NW Stance was known as Ghetto Rise Media, it aired LIVE WEEKLY in Portland, Oregon, and in several adjacent cities via Xfinity/Comcast. The studio facilities, called Open Signal PDX, are located off MLK in Northeast Portland.

Before the pandemic, show producer Elijah Muhammad utilized live airtime for roundtable discussions and hour-long talks on alternate Fridays. After the COVID-19 pandemic, all programming from community members and producers was limited to bi-weekly and monthly formats. The studio facilities also have an official website that now live-streams programs.

The objective of NW Stance is to contribute to the effort to help others understand that The Teachings are a body of verifiable knowledge, not dogma. Additionally, it operates a public information engine headquartered in Chicago, Illinois.

Elijah states, “As we know, knowledge and truth are our birthright. I have learned that there is a significant number of people who mistakenly accept the misinformation and disinformation disseminated about the Nation of Islam by others. Everyone should know that the Nation of Islam’s teachings are public information. NW Stance is designed to contribute to the further institutionalization of The Teachings, which are also described as Supreme Wisdom.”

Mr. Muhammad wrote a book in 2021 entitled “Rising To Never Fall Again.” This book specifically describes his experiences in the Northwest Corner of the United States as a steadfast sharer of the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad—”experiences that I triumphed over,” said Mr. Muhammad.
