Police Arrest Nine After Clearing Squatter-Occupied Home In Parkrose Heights

Authorities arrested multiple individuals after Portland police intervened to evict squatters from a home in the Parkrose Heights neighborhood. On Tuesday, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 2200 block of Northeast 102nd Avenue, which had reportedly been a source of disruption in the area over the past year.

According to police reports, the property owner had been absent due to ongoing health issues. During the homeowner’s absence, squatters reportedly moved in and engaged in various criminal activities, including drug trafficking and unlawfully charging individuals for accommodations.

While conducting the search, officers discovered a range of illicit items, including one firearm, 22 grams of methamphetamine, 13 grams of fentanyl, one gram of cocaine, $1,440 in cash, a stolen motorcycle, a large cache of ammunition, and evidence related to identity theft, fraud, and drug distribution. Authorities are collaborating with the homeowner’s family and support team to reclaim control of the property.

Nine individuals were taken into custody as a result of the operation:

– Tyler Dean Roberts, 32: Charged with first-degree burglary, attempted distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), attempted unlawful manufacturing/delivery of Schedule II drugs, unlawful possession of Schedule II drugs (felony), and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, 10+ grams commercial).

– Melissa Ann Sponsler, 44: Charged with first-degree burglary.

– Michael Chene, 38: Arrested on a Clackamas County warrant for failure to appear and second-degree theft/PCS.

– Charles Bernard Gainer, 32: Charged with first-degree burglary and 14 counts of identity theft.

– Erin Leeann Weber, 42: Arrested on a Clackamas County warrant for failure to appear in a second-degree theft case and a Multnomah County warrant for failure to appear in a UUMV case.

– Rita Silonsochilt, 31: Arrested on a Clackamas County warrant for failure to appear in a larceny case.

– Charles Christopher Kelly, 47: Charged with first-degree burglary.

– Kethleen Lynn Conklin, 29: Arrested on a Washington County warrant for failure to appear in a possession of a controlled substance (Schedule II) case.

– Destinee Alexis Davidson, 27: Arrested on multiple warrants, including failure to appear in Marion County for second-degree theft, first-degree theft, and a Clackamas County warrant for failure to appear in fourth-degree assault/harassment.

The police operation aimed to restore safety and order to the neighborhood while addressing the criminal activities that had plagued the area.
