
The Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying an adult man whose partial remains were found Sept. 8, 2025, at the Smith and Bybee Wetlands Natural Area in North Portland.
Investigators said the man is believed to be African American and at least 50 years old. Authorities also believe he may have been missing for several months before his remains were discovered.
According to the medical examiner’s office, the remains were located in the wetlands area near Bybee Lake. A forensic flyer released by the office includes facial reconstructions to assist in identification.
Officials are asking anyone with information about the man’s identity to contact the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office at 503-988-0055 and reference case number MU-250908-1009.
