Nick Cannon: Rich, Black & Working

Nick Cannon is a well known famous star that has been in Hollywood since he was a teenager. He was born on October 8, 1980 in San Diego. He is widely recognized for being the host of the television show ‘America’s Got Talent’ as well as being an actor on movies like Drum Line and Love Don’t Cost a Thing.

As of 2021, Nick Cannon, the 40 year old Black star, has a net worth of approximately $30 million, and he continues to gain money and popularity as he expands his career. Getting his breakthrough by appearing in the Nickelodeon network in the late 90s, he continued rising to the top by amassing lucrative deals.

He has been in the news lately for having multiple children at the same time from different women. He is also a recent Howard University graduate and has a podcast. That podcast created some controversy for him after he had Public Enemy member Professor Griff on the show. The white, Jewish community claimed he was dorogatory in his comments towards their community on his show. He was fired from his Wild N Out show but ended up making some apologies and the controversy died down.

It was in 2005 that Nick created, produced, and hosted the hit MTV series ‘Wild ‘N Out’ and hosted the ‘Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards’. In 2009 he was signed as the host for the show ‘America’s Got Talent’ and filled that position until 2016. He also created the television series ‘Incredible Crew’. Amongst other high profile programs.

As of 2021, Nick Cannon’s net worth is estimated to be $30 million. While he has earned much of his wealth from different gigs, he also got $10 million from the divorce he had with well known superstar Mariah Carey. You read that right, $10 mill for his emancipation from Mimi. That’s not gigalow money, R. Kelly. His father James Cannon, a televangelist, is a millionaire while his mother Beth Garnder, an accountant, is, well, an accountant. Nick Cannon describes himself as the “hardest working man in Hollywood” and a man who will never settle down with one. The last one got him that 10 milli, though.
