A tragic accident occurred in a northeast Portland neighborhood, resulting in the death of a homeowner during a stump removal operation. Emergency responders were called to the scene after a devastating equipment malfunction incident involving a massive 1200lb stump.

The Portland Fire & Rescue Technical Rescue Team received the distress call at approximately 9:15 a.m. and swiftly arrived at the northeast Portland neighborhood.
