Four-Year-Old Tragically Dies In Devastating Crash

An incident, which took place on March 20, has shocked the community and left many mourning the loss of a young life. Officials have identified Kingston Coston’s mother, Angelina L. Minor, 27, as the driver responsible for the crash. Minor now faces manslaughter charges in connection with the incident. During her court appearance on Friday, she entered a not-guilty plea.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, the chain of events leading to the fatal crash began with a hit-and-run incident on North Lombard Street. Instead of stopping, investigators revealed that Minor chose to continue driving, ultimately crossing over a median and entering oncoming traffic. Tragically, this reckless maneuver resulted in a head-on collision with another vehicle, claiming the life of young Kingston Coston.

The Traffic Investigations Unit, which responded to the scene, has determined that extreme intoxication and high speed were the primary factors contributing to the crash. As a result, Minor has been booked on several charges, including first-degree manslaughter, third-degree assault, driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), reckless driving, failure to perform duties of a driver, and three counts of reckless endangerment.

Disturbing details have emerged from court documents, revealing that Minor’s blood alcohol level at the time of the crash was an astonishing 0.38, which is more than four times the legal limit. Additionally, records indicate that her driver’s license was reinstated just two weeks prior to the incident, and she had previously pleaded guilty to a DUII charge in August.

The tragic loss of young Kingston Coston serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of impaired driving. The community now mourns the loss of a young life, and our thoughts and condolences go out to Kingston’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. It is our hope that this incident will raise awareness about the dangers of driving under the influence and encourage responsible choices on the road.
