The Black Church PAC has urged the presidents of Dillard University and Xavier University of Louisiana, both historically Black colleges, to refrain from offering their students up as guinea pigs for controversial and untested coronavirus vaccine trials.

Two new free COVID-19 test sites will open in South King County over the next two weeks. According to officials, these new testing sites in Renton and Auburn will bring additional free COVID-testing to south King County where communities have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, and will increase access to testing across our community.

Even though most schools are starting with online learning this fall, more than 30 campuses will be open for in-person health-care services.

“In 2020, more Black Americans will die of COVID-19 than will succumb to diabetes, strokes, accidents, or pneumonia. In fact, COVID-19 is currently the third leading cause of death for African Americans,” concluded Trevon Logan, professor of economics at the Ohio State University and Bradley L. Plasma Technologies LLC has signed a defense contract worth $750,000 to develop scaled-up Covid-19 convalescent plasma technologies, according to an announcement on the Department of Defense website Monday.
