It has been two years without Portland rose festival traditional downtown parades, waterfront fair and other big events, which were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, good news arrives in the name of the springtime festival’s 2022 collector’s edition rose bush: ‘Rosy Reunion.’
The Portland Rose Festival has inspired the public to gather and celebrate against a backdrop of historic external forces for 115 years. The Rose Festival will return in a big way in 2022 for the Rose City Reunion. The annual collector’s edition rose is not only a decades-long custom, but a fundraiser for the nonprofit Portland Rose Festival Foundation.
Organizers announced Wednesday that CareOregon will become the new sponsor of the Rose Festival’s Starlight Parade on June 4. “The Rose Festival is back this year for the Rose City Reunion.
