Vancouver Police Department to Absorb Neighborhood Parking Program

On October 8, 2018, City Parking Services will transition the neighborhood parking program to the Vancouver Police Department.

Vancouver Police Service Technicians currently handle lower priority calls for service. With the transition of the parking program to Police, these personnel will manage parking complaints and issuance of parking citations in neighborhoods within the city limits of Vancouver.

Citizens with a neighborhood parking complaint have two options to report neighborhood parking complaints.

  • Call the non-emergency number 311. The call for service will be assigned to a Vancouver Police Service Technician for follow up.
  • Complete an online complaint form which will be emailed to a Police Service Technician for follow up.

Information about the laws and codes related to parking, as well as a link to the online complaint form, are on the Vancouver Police Department website under Parking In Your Neighborhood.

Parking Services will still manage downtown parking enforcement, which includes the Hough, Arnada and Esther Short neighborhoods, and municipal parking garages.
