County Seeks Volunteers for Transportation Fee Committee

Vancouver, WA – Clark County is updating its Transportation Impact Fee (TIF) program and seeking volunteers to serve on a stakeholder advisory committee.

Transportation impact fees are charged to developers to pay for new or improved public facilities needed to serve new development. The committee will make recommendations for a county program appropriate for both public and private investments.

Four meetings are planned for the six-month project, with 15 members representing varied interests, including neighborhoods, real estate developers and builders.

Topics will include a process for determining and applying impact fees for both residential and non-residential development. The project will cover program design, district boundaries, project lists, rates, policies and administrative procedures.

To apply, please submit a letter of interest to Matt Hermen, Community Planning, and P.O. Box 9810, Vancouver, WA 98666-9810. The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2014. He will also provide project updates by email to anyone interested, upon request.
